(Director of Photography)

Haunted by the memory of a girl, a young Inventor spends his days perfecting a complex mechanical apparatus to find her.

AUTOMATE is an homage to the German Expressionist movement in cinema, drawing inspiration from the works of Fritz Lang and F. W. Murnau. The set was designed by found-object sculptor and installation artist Leslie Allen Clark and his assistant Chuck. Together they crafted the set and props from car parts, old pinball machines, common household appliances, musical instruments, and various electronics.
